Folders
Templates can be grouped into folders for better organisation of related templates, through Salesforce's standard email template management tools. Additionally, Seven20 supports the concept of a Template Context, which allows a context to have a folder assigned to it, presenting email templates found within that folder first when selecting a template. Each Template Context can represent 1 or more screens, actions or components within Seven20 from which templates in the assigned folder will be accessible.
Template folders and contexts allow for a more streamlined experience when selecting templates, as the user will be presented with the more relevant email templates first.
Public, and a user's private, email templates related to the appropriate objects will still be selectable, regardless of assigning a folder to a context.
Folders can be assigned to a context through the following steps:
- In the app explorer navigate to Seven20 Settings Configuration
- Under Email select Template Folders
- Under the relevant context, select the folder to assign to the context
The specific context required for each use case will be detailed on the relevant page within this documentation.
This will create a new Seven20 Configuration setting record for the specific context and folder.
Do not manually create template folder context metadata records.
