Placements

When one or more applicants for a Job have been successful, their Application(s) will then be converted into a Placement (seven20__Placement__c) record that is used to manage various aspects of the resulting employment contract. The conversion process is triggered by the Placement stage transition on the ATS. The Placement record will be linked to the associated Account, Job, Candidate and Application records, and the currency will also be inherited from the Job record. There are also various other elements which may be carried over from the Job, depending on how the job has been set up, such as Members, Rate Cards and Compliance.

Record Type Mappings

As with the Seven20 Job and Application objects, the Placement has five different record types as standard:

  • Permanent Placement
  • Fixed Term Contract Placement
  • Contract Placement
  • Retained
  • Internal Recruitment
note

While these cover the most common types of recruitment, if custom record types are in use then it will be necessary to configure record type mappings for Application to Placement. Information regarding the mappings for the standard record types is covered under Application Record Type Mappings.

Field Mappings

It is also possible to configure Field Mappings for the Placement Conversion process in order to carry additional data over from other linked records, such as Job or Application, when the Placement record is created. The Process value to be used in the metadata records for such field mappings is Placement Conversion.

Time Logging and Billing

The Placement record can also be used to manage associated Time Logging and Billing as required - please see those dedicated sections of the documentation for more information.
